Is the son of Vickie T. Johnson and the late Bishop C.M. Beatty, Jr. He is married to Dorothy Beatty and is the father of two; Shakea and Curtis M. Beatty, IV.  Elder Beatty has three siblings: Adrienne, Gary and Chemaria.

Marvin received his primary education in the Charlotte Mecklenburg County Public School system where he graduated from North Mecklenburg High School.  He served in the US Army from 1989 to 1992. While serving in the armed forces, he completed training as a Communication Technician.  He furthered his studies at Rowan and Cabarrus Community Colleges with vocational training in electrical wiring.  Elder Beatty is currently enrolled at Sure Foundation Theological Seminary.

Elder Beatty was ordained minister in 2001. His service in the local church is extensive.  He assisted with the Youth Ministry, served as a Youth Sunday School teacher and Choir Director.  He is also gifted to play the bass guitar, organ and drums.  God; through Bishop Beatty, elevated Elder Beatty to the position of Adjutant to the Bishop in 2008. Elder Beatty not only serves in the local church, but he gives back to the community.  He visits those convalesced in nursing homes hospitals, and their homes.  In addition, has an active Prison Ministry.  Elder Beatty desires to go forth with the vision God placed in the heart of our late Founder to lead the people of God for this dispensation.
