History

The Church had its beginnings in 1975 out of the headquarters church; Bibleway Church # 1, in Statesville, North Carolina.  The Bibleway body is known as Seventh Day Commandment Keepers.  God began to deal with Bishop Beatty (Elder Beatty at the time) and gave him a vision to start a church in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Elder Beatty went to the Bishop of the church; Bishop J.G. Simenton, and told him of the vision.  Hence, Bibleway Church # 4 was birthed in 1975.  We were part of the Bibleway Church body until 1994.

God  impressed upon Bishop Beatty to separate from that local church and to operate independently.   April 9, 1994 Bishop Beatty delivered a sermon titled:   "The Time is Now" to the congregation.   The official transition was made to the current ministry:  New Covenant Bibleway Church, Inc. New Covenant is a Non-denominational, spirit-filled, word church.  The ministry strives to bring persons into a saving and redemptive relationship as sons and daughters of God.  Our mission is to enrich and strengthen the ministry through education, spiritual and economic development, cultural awareness and social improvement.  Our Church creed is founded upon Hebrews 8: 7-13.  This scripture speaks to us regarding being under a new covenant and that God is both merciful and forgiving.
